Define → Design → Develop → Deliver → Determine

Grounded in over two decades of instructional technology leadership and higher education practice, the 5D Model™ equips instructors with a clear roadmap for building engaging, academically rigorous, and learner-centered online courses. 

Participants will move step-by-step through each stage:

• Define – Clarify learning outcomes, learner profiles, course scope, alignment standards, and success indicators.

• Design – Architect the course structure, instructional strategies, interaction plans, assessment alignment, and digital engagement strategy.

• Develop – Create high-quality instructional materials, multimedia content, learning activities, and LMS-integrated components.

• Deliver – Implement facilitation strategies that foster presence, interaction, inclusion, feedback loops, and student motivation.

• Determine – Evaluate course effectiveness through data-informed assessment, student performance metrics, engagement analytics, and continuous improvement processes.
